Pre-Christmas Fun

We finally put up our Christmas tree; although it was much earlier than last year. Last year I think I got around to it a few days before Christmas. Lucy loved putting the ornaments on the tree. We hope to paint more for this year, we almost achieved Charley Brown status. Originally we placed most of our Christmas decorations on the window ledges behind the tree. But Lucy seems to prefer them on the floor, so they are on the floor...most of the time, somtimes they are in the bathroom or the kitchen, I suppose it depends on her mood. We had the opportunity to go to a stake center in North Ogden which displayed thousands of Nativity scenes from all around the world. It was beautiful. Lucy even had the opportunity to dress up as an angel and if you look close at the pictures you'll catch her doing her hallelujah pose.

Punkin' Carvin'

We went over to the Great Grandma and Grandpa Dalton's tonight and carved pumpkins. This was Lucy's first experience and as you can tell by the pictures and as usual she was hesitant at first, but she grew to love it as most things. She even had the great privilege of experiencing the family tradition of watching Great Grandpa Dalton's Great Pumpkin, which tells all boys and girls to be good, because he is watching.

Payson Canyon

We met with the White Family and had a campout. As you can see from the pictures we had a wonderful time. This Lucy's first campout and she's a champ, she did great! We went for a few hikes and even rode the four wheeler. We hiked the Grotto on the last day. Lucy didn't know what she thought of the water at first, but she warmed up to it and loved it.

Lucy's 1st Birthday

We had a party at our home for Lucy. She loved every minute. She had loads of support from all her wonderful family. As you can tell she has loads of pictures thanks to her cousin Brittney. Thank you all for making it such a special day.

Note her enjoyment upon eating her cake :-).

4th of July Parade

The parade that went on and on and on. We were there for 2 hours and they still had more floats. Lucy absolutley loved it. We thought that the sirens of the fire trucks would scare her, but she would just get more exited. She got a little stuffed animal (a dog, her favorite of course) and a whole bunch of candy. She tried her first salt water taffy. She loved the taffy a bit more than Sharla did when we tried getting it out of her clothes and her hair.

Fishin' with Grandpa

We went fishing out at the Pineview reservoir. No one caught a thing. When I was kid, we used to catch bucket loads of catfish right at that very spot. Time are changing...:-).

Yellowstone

Our first family vacation for the year. We had no idea that Yellowstone would still have snow above the houses in May. We were snowed in for the first part of the trip. Then we were able to go and explore the park. Lucy love it, because she had the company of her aunts Jenny and Krista (who taught Lucy spanish and russian along the way). The park was beautiful, the day we went out it was sunny and clear. The animals were moving, so we were able to see quite a few elk and buffalo.
